Kenyan astrophysicist Harold Safary, working with the Kenya Space Agency (KSA), has discovered his second asteroid, 2024 JJ63, significantly boosting Kenya's profile in international astronomical research.

• This is Safary's second confirmed asteroid discovery, following 2023 TQ159.
• The discovery was confirmed by the Minor Planet Center (MPC), in cooperation with the Pan-African Citizen Science e-Laboratory (PAS E-LAB) and the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC), a NASA partner.
• Both asteroids are officially catalogued in the Minor Planet Center database at Harvard University, highlighting Kenya's growing contribution to space science through scientific training and international collaboration.
