Kenyan astrophysicist Harold Safary has discovered a second asteroid, 2024 JJ63, earning global recognition for Kenya’s growing role in space science.

• This is Safary's second asteroid discovery; he previously identified Asteroid 2023 TQ159 last year.
• The discovery was confirmed by the Minor Planet Center and a NASA-affiliated research group.
• Both asteroids are now listed in a global database maintained at Harvard University.
