Inspector General Douglas Kanja of the National Police Service (NPS) led a comprehensive road safety assessment on Christmas Day along major highways in and out of Nairobi to reduce accidents during the festive season. This proactive measure involved engaging with various road users to promote responsible behavior.

• The assessment covered the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, Nairobi-Nanyuki Highway, and Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
• IG Kanja engaged with boda boda operators, public and private transport operators, and passengers.
• The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) also highlighted safety measures such as removing stalled vehicles and using warning lights.
