Italian police have arrested seven individuals and issued international arrest warrants for two others, accusing them of raising millions of euros for the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Approximately seven million euros ($8 million) was allegedly financed through three associations, officially for humanitarian aid but reportedly funding Hamas.
Among those arrested is Mohammad Hannoun, president of the Palestinian Association in Italy.
More than 71 percent of the collected donations were reportedly earmarked for direct financing of Hamas or affiliated entities, with some funds going to "family members implicated in terrorist attacks."
