A recent Infotrak opinion poll reveals that Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is the most preferred successor to Raila Odinga as the dominant leader of the Luo community, following Raila Odinga's passing late this year.

Babu Owino garnered 33 per cent support among respondents nationally, identifying him as the next political kingpin.
ODM party leader Oburu Odinga followed with 10 per cent, and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga was third with seven per cent.
Significantly, 37 per cent of respondents expressed uncertainty about Raila Odinga's successor, highlighting fluidity within the community.
