The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning has launched a fully digital stamp duty processing system, operational in 36 land registries across Kenya. This new system, integrated into Ardhisasa, aims to eliminate delays and inefficiencies previously associated with manual processing of land transactions.

• The new National Stamp Duty Module (NSDM) standardizes stamp duty assessment and collection for property transfers, accessible remotely through Ardhisasa.
• Principal Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning Generali Nixon Korir stated the platform enhances accuracy, accountability, and efficiency, with payments made via ArdhiPay.
• The system reduces physical visits to land offices, with Director of the National Land Information Management System Monica Obongo noting improved transparency and shorter transaction timelines.
