Police in Bureti, Kericho County, are investigating an incident where angry residents vandalized a bar after Wesley Tanui was found dead outside the establishment on December 26, following a day of drinking.

• The deceased, Wesley Tanui, spent Christmas Day drinking at Digital Bar.
• Locals expressed outrage over alcohol-related deaths, with one resident stating, "Tumepoteza watu karibu sita na mwaka moja ata haujaisha" (We have lost almost six people in less than a year).
• A sister to the deceased, Karen Chepkemoi, called for the closure of bars in the small town of Cheplanget.
