Samsung is preparing to release its One UI 8.5 update, with a vast array of new features and device compatibility. This update, built on Android 16, is anticipated to debut with the Galaxy S26 lineup early next year.

• The update will introduce new AI-driven capabilities including "continuous" editing in Photo Assist and smarter Quick Share suggestions based on facial recognition.
• Enhanced ecosystem connectivity will arrive with Storage Share, allowing access to files across Galaxy devices and even Samsung TVs, alongside Audio Broadcast for sharing audio to Bluetooth LE Audio-supported devices.
• Security improvements include Theft Protection and a Failed Authentication Lock.
• A wide range of Galaxy devices are eligible, including many from the S Series, Z Series (foldables), A Series, Tab Series, and F & M Series, with the rollout beginning after the S26 launch and reaching older models throughout the year.
