Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders are pushing for early pre-election coalition talks ahead of the 2027 General Election, while affirming their commitment to the existing broad-based government arrangement. This call was made during a gathering at Mahaya Vocational Training Centre in Rarieda constituency.

• Key figures present included Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, and Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda.
• Otiende Amollo emphasized that ODM would honor the broad-based government initiated by the late Raila Odinga but would also negotiate a pre-election coalition to maintain its position as the largest political party.
• Wandayi urged the ODM leadership to fast-track negotiations under party leader Oburu Oginga and called for an end to public disagreements among National Executive Council (NEC) members.
