• Murkomen announced that he would meet Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja next week to accelerate the implementation of President William Ruto’s directive to strengthen the Anti-Narcotics Unit.
• The directive includes the recruitment and deployment of an additional 500 police officers to bolster enforcement efforts nationwide.
• He urged county governments to establish at least one rehabilitation center in every county to support recovery and reintegration, emphasizing a dual approach of tougher law enforcement and expanded rehabilitation services.
