Residents near Nairobi National Park are on high alert after two lionesses escaped the park and were spotted near Ongata Rongai. The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has dispatched teams to track and capture the animals, prioritizing public safety.

• The two lionesses were last seen in Sholinke Trading Centre, approximately 8.3 km from the park boundary and barely 9 kilometers from the heart of Ong'ata Rongai.
• The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has deployed rangers and veterinarians to safely dart, capture, and relocate the animals.
• Residents are advised to avoid the area, keep children indoors, and contact KWS via toll-free 0800 597 000 or WhatsApp 0726 610 509 if they spot the lions.
