Residents in parts of Kilifi, Mombasa, Kwale, and Samburu counties face a two-day water disruption starting January 7 due to a burst along the Mzima Water Pipeline.

• The Coast Water Works Development Agency announced the disruption affecting areas like Taru, Samburu, Mariakani, Mazeras, Rabai, and Mombasa West Mainland.
• The disruption will allow for repair works on the pipeline, expected to take approximately 48 hours.
• Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir announced a crackdown on unlawful water connections and plans to fix leakages and drill more wells, with initiatives like the Mwache Dam project aiming to serve over 120,000 households.
