A second body has been recovered from the rubble of a collapsed 14-storey building in South C, Nairobi, as search and rescue operations stretched into their sixth day. Emergency teams are nearing the end of the search while investigating the cause of the pancake-type collapse.

A total of two bodies have been retrieved from the collapsed building.
The search and rescue operation, led by Incident Commander Duncan Onyango Ochieng of the National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), is deemed delicate and high-risk due to a hazardous site.
The National Construction Authority (NCA) had previously indicated the building was non-compliant, and Nairobi City County had issued three violation notices.
