A private clinic owner in Kakamega County, Josephat Ouma Omoto, has been charged at Milimani Law Courts for allegedly falsifying health documents and laundering Ksh.2.5 million from the Social Health Authority (SHA).

• Omoto, proprietor of Zion Ahadi Mediclinic Limited, faces charges including falsification of health documents and acquiring/using proceeds of crime.
• The prosecution alleges that between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, Omoto fraudulently acquired Ksh.2,591,125 from SHA by submitting false inpatient discharge summaries.
• He is accused of uttering false documents for patients including Florence Rachael Atero, Elida Munyokho Omukoyia, and Milka Omwaka Winnie for claim processing purposes.
