- National schools accounted for the majority of top performers, with 1,526 candidates scoring Grade A, representing about 8 in 10 A grades.
- A total of 993,226 candidates sat for the 2025 KCSE examinations, an increase of 3.19 per cent from the previous year.
- 270,715 candidates (27.1 per cent) attained a C+ and above, qualifying for direct university entry.
