• The project, launched by President William Ruto on Friday, November 28, 2025, utilizes a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and is expected to be completed by 2028.
• The highway aims to improve traffic flow, enhance road safety, and boost trade by connecting Nairobi to Western Kenya and East African neighbors like Uganda and Rwanda.
