The National Construction Authority (NCA) has suspended a construction project in Karen, Nairobi, after a building collapsed, killing two people and injuring several others. The project, which collapsed on the evening of Saturday, January 10, was not registered with the NCA.

• This incident follows another collapse of a 16-storey building in Nairobi's South C estate less than two weeks prior, which also resulted in two deaths, raising concerns about building safety and enforcement of laws in the capital.
