Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a stern warning to Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators, accusing them of facilitating "goons" to disrupt his public gatherings. He alleges that leaders aligned with President William Ruto's administration are hiring PSVs to sabotage events involving him and his allies, particularly in Thika.

• Gachagua, leader of the Democratic for Citizen Party (DCP), warned PSV operators that their vehicles might "fail to return" if used for such purposes.
• He claimed that 20 PSV vehicles were hired to transport individuals to attack his supporters in Gatundu, suggesting some owners were unaware.
• This warning follows an alleged attempt to attack Gachagua during a church service in Gatundu on Sunday, where he claims police used teargas inside the church.
