NACADA has raided a drug distribution hub in Kimbo, Ruiru, leading to two arrests and the seizure of a significant cache of drugs on Tuesday, January 13. This operation is part of an ongoing national effort to dismantle drug supply networks.

• Two suspects, aged 24 and 27, were arrested during the multi-agency operation.
• The raid involved NACADA investigators, the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU), and the Operations Unit from the DCI Headquarters, alongside officers from Mugutha Police Station.
• Authorities recovered 26 black polythene bags of cannabis, 85 khaki sachets, 11 clear polythene packets of dried cannabis, Ksh 24,425 believed to be proceeds from illicit sales, uncustomed cigarettes, a digital weighing scale, packaging materials, and two mobile phones.
• This marks the second major bust in Kimbo within a month, with a previous operation in December netting cannabis valued at Ksh 3 million.
• Dr Anthony Omerikwa, NACADA CEO, emphasized that community cooperation is key to the success of anti-drug operations.
