Deputy President Kithure Kindiki warned political rivals against inciting youth to violence during the rollout of the NYOTA program, an initiative aimed at economically empowering young Kenyans.

• Beneficiaries receive Sh50,000 each as start-up capital for businesses.
• The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) project is a five-year initiative supported by the Government of Kenya and the World Bank.
• The program targets over 800,000 vulnerable young people aged 18–29 years, and up to 35 for persons with disabilities, across all 47 counties.
