Police in Murang’a South Sub-County have busted a major illicit alcohol operation after raiding an abandoned residential house in Kimirori area. The raid, prompted by a landlord's tip-off, uncovered a significant cache of smuggled and counterfeit alcoholic beverages and production materials.

• Over 1,777 counterfeit Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) excise stamps were recovered.
• The tenant, identified as Peter Waembu Waweru, is being sought by authorities.
• The confiscated items include hundreds of cartons of various vodkas, suspected brewing liquids, 15 bags of empty bottles, and five sacks of assorted bottle tops.
