Chief Justice Martha Koome has announced a vacancy in Kenya's Supreme Court following the death of Justice Mohammed Ibrahim on December 17. This initiates the recruitment process for a new judge to the country’s highest court.

• The successful applicant will serve until retirement at age 70, or may retire earlier at age 65.
• Applicants must have a law degree, be advocates of the High Court of Kenya, and possess at least 15 years' experience in a relevant legal field.
• The gross monthly pay for the position ranges between Sh956,192 and Sh1,268,996, excluding benefits.
