Hong Kong officially launched its flagship Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) projects with the opening of the Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong and the Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute in Tseung Kwan O.

• Over 300 healthcare professionals, lawmakers, and officials attended the ceremony.
• HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu stated these projects will foster a TCM ecosystem and position Hong Kong as a "bridgehead for taking traditional Chinese medicine global."
• The proportion of people seeking TCM services in Hong Kong has surged from 7.5 percent in 1996 to 24.3 percent in 2023.
• The Hospital is a 42,900-square-meter facility; the Testing Institute is 17,200-sq-m.
