A group of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition affiliate parties are demanding the resignation of National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, accusing him of undermining the coalition and mismanaging 2022 election funds. They also defended former President Uhuru Kenyatta's legacy.

• More than 10 constituent parties, led by leader Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli of the National Liberal Party (NLP), are pushing for Mohamed's removal.
• The parties claim Mohamed's "reckless and defamatory remarks" demeaned former President Uhuru Kenyatta's record and tenure.
• Allegations include mismanagement of agents’ funds during the 2022 general elections, leading to weakened grassroots mobilisation and "internal sabotage."
• They formally requested former President Kenyatta to convene a meeting to chart a "new leadership path" for the coalition, citing the death of Raila Odinga and the exit of Martha Karua.
