• Trump reacted on his social media platform Truth Social, vowing to use the 19th-century law if Minnesota "corrupt politicians" do not stop "professional agitators."
• The Insurrection Act allows the president to deploy soldiers for law enforcement and has not been used in more than 30 years, with the last instance by President George H.W. Bush in 1992 during the Los Angeles riots.
