Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is in Lomé, Togo, participating in a high-level summit addressing the crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

• The summit is attended by co-facilitators including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Sahle-Work Zewde, Catherine Samba-Panza, and Mokgweetsi Masisi.
• Discussions will focus on political coordination, regional security, de-escalation mechanisms, humanitarian support, and economic integration.
• Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Council of Togo and African Union mediator, is leading the meeting, following a November 2025 peace agreement between Rwanda and the DRC brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump.
