The Maria Bencivenga Memorial Cup polo tournament is set to begin at the Nairobi Polo Club, with players vying for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award over the two-day event.

• All four teams participating in the tournament must include at least one lady player, a format that will also be used in the Soldier’s Salute Championships and the Chairman’s Cup.
• Notable players from the recent Davis Cup, including Amani Nzomo, Mbu Ngugi, Sharon Allela, and Alice Owambo, will be competing for the MVP title.
• Handicap -2 Eva Kamau is aiming to improve her performance after a mixed showing last weekend, stating, "improvements must be achieved this time round as my family will be watching me play."
