The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has appointed Francis Miano as its new acting group Chief Executive Officer, effective January 16, 2026. He replaces Wilson Muthaura, who has proceeded on terminal leave.

• Miano currently heads KTDA’s Group Technical Services Division and brings over 30 years of experience.
• The KTDA serves more than 600,000 smallholder tea farmers across Kenya.
• This leadership change occurs as the agency implements reforms to improve efficiency and governance in the tea sector.
