Uganda's long-serving leader, Yoweri Museveni, has been declared the winner of the country’s presidential election, securing his seventh term in office. The victory comes amid allegations of widespread malpractice and a nationwide internet shutdown, with opposition leader Bobi Wine rejecting the results as fraudulent.

• Museveni, candidate for the National Resistance Movement (NRM), won with 71.65 percent (approximately 7.9 million votes).
• His main challenger, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) of the National Unity Platform (NUP), secured 24.72 percent (approximately 2.7 million votes).
• The Electoral Commission (EC) reported a voter turnout of 52.10 percent from a total of 11,366,201 votes cast.
• Bobi Wine alleged ballot stuffing, arrests of polling agents, and intimidation, also claiming a raid on his home and that his family was under house arrest.
