Francis Atwoli has been re-appointed unopposed as General Secretary of the Kenya Plantation and Agricultural Workers Union (KPAWU) for another five-year term. This re-appointment positions him to seek a sixth term as Secretary General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU-K).

• Atwoli was re-elected at KPAWU's Quinquennial Conference held at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu.
• He expressed gratitude to KPAWU members, viewing the outcome as a strong vote of confidence in his leadership and commitment to advancing workers' interests.
• Atwoli is also the Deputy President of the Commonwealth Trade Union Group (CTUG), a position he was re-elected to on June 10, 2025.
