Three Kenya Railways workers, including a locomotive driver and two security guards, were arrested for siphoning fuel from a train at the Sultan Hamud Railways Station on Saturday, January 17. They were caught with 76 litres of petrol valued at approximately Ksh12,955.72.

• Kenya Railways and Port Police apprehended the suspects after a public tip-off.
• The stolen fuel was found in 20-litre jerry cans and 18-litre water dispenser bottles.
• The train was an industrial train carrying extra fuel in separate wagons.
• The suspects were taken to Emali Railways Police Station for processing before arraignment.
