The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has issued a warning regarding a fraudulent job advertisement circulating on social media, clarifying that it did not originate from the authority. This comes shortly after KURA announced 33 official job vacancies.

• The fake advertisement listed numerous positions, including civil engineers, superintendents, and ICT officers, and instructed applicants to send documents to a suspicious email by January 26.
• KURA’s official vacancies, announced on January 13, include roles like director of engineering and finance and accounts officer, with applications due by February 5.
• The fake advert illegally used the official Court of Arms and KURA logo, making it difficult for job seekers to identify it as fraudulent.
