Two suspects, Albert Kerry Nyadianga and David Opiyo, also known as G.O.A.T, have been arrested in connection with a scam involving the forgery of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2025 results slips. They allegedly lured parents and candidates with promises of manipulating results for a fee.
- One suspect, David Opiyo, a primary school teacher, commanded an online group with 45,200 followers, branded “KCSE 2025 Grade Upgrading”.
- The arrests were made by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in collaboration with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) in Kisumu and Ongata Rongai.
- Their mobile devices contained images of fake KCSE result slips and other examination materials. The DCI has warned the public that KCSE results are tamper-proof.
