Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi has been arrested on assault charges stemming from an incident in Kisii Town. The arrest was confirmed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), with Kibagendi expected to face charges in court on Wednesday.

• The arrest follows the emergence of CCTV footage from November 27, showing Kibagendi allegedly assaulting Enock Omariba Moriasi inside a Java House outlet.
