Kenya has launched an AI Incubator program to mentor local innovators, transforming creative concepts into practical solutions for national development and job creation. This initiative, driven by the National Intelligence and Research University, aims to leverage artificial intelligence to bolster the economy and security.

• Over 2,400 AI solution proposals were submitted, from which a group of innovators was selected.
• Principal Secretary for Science, Research, and Innovation, Shaukat Abdulrazak, emphasized that structured incubation is vital for ensuring innovations deliver genuine value.
• Key partners include USIU-Africa, Strathmore University, Equity Bank, KCB, and Safaricom, with innovations to be showcased at the National AI Hackathon in March.
