In a surprising development in Bumula Sub-County, a police officer has offered to thrice repay a farmer for a stolen goat. The officer was found asleep in the farmer's compound days after the goat was reported missing.

• On January 19, PC Kevin Abuga of Khasoko Police Post was discovered by Asisa Juma, the farmer, sleeping under a tree in his yard.
• Juma had reported his goat missing on the night of January 15, recorded under OB 10/20/01/2026.
• The officer pleaded not to be harmed and offered to pay three times the value of the stolen goat. The case is under investigation by the SCCIO of Bumula.
