The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has achieved a historic revenue collection in the first half of the 2025/26 financial year, surpassing its monthly target for December 2025. This strong performance has led to optimism for meeting the overall fiscal year target.

KRA collected Ksh307.634 billion in December 2025 against a target of Ksh284.969 billion, a performance rate of 108.0 per cent and growth of 29.3 per cent.
The customs department recorded its highest monthly collection in KRA's history in December 2025, collecting Ksh85.927 billion, driven by strong growth in oil taxes (23.9 per cent).
Domestic tax collection also performed strongly, amounting to Ksh221.287 billion in December 2025 against a target of Ksh201.593 billion, achieving a performance rate of 109.8 per cent.
