The Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) and the Central Corridor Transit and Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to improve transport efficiency and trade facilitation across East and Central Africa.

• The MoC was signed on January 20, 2026, in Mombasa by executive secretaries John Deng (NCTTCA) and Okandju Okonge Flory (CCTTFA).
• The agreement aims to streamline regional logistics, avoid duplication of efforts, and facilitate the movement of goods and people between countries like Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the DRC.
• The collaboration will cover areas such as roads, railway, pipelines, waterways, and climate change initiatives, including harmonizing policies for Lake Victoria navigation and implementing common donor projects.
