Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba has enforced President William Ruto's directive for all Senior School principals to admit learners for Grade 10, irrespective of financial state or uniform availability. This directive aims to achieve 100 percent admission following concerning reporting statistics.

• Only over 930,000 students out of 1.13 million candidates who sat the 2025 Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) had reported to school by Wednesday, January 22.
• CS Ogamba ordered Senior and Junior School heads to report details of learners who failed to report by January 21, 2026, to assist Sub-County Directors of Education in tracing them.
• The CS noted that principals should optimize capitation funds disbursed on January 2, 2026, to allow parents time to pay contributions, and learners can attend in junior school uniforms if they lack Senior School uniforms.
