Kenya has launched a Sh20 billion, three-year scholarship program benefiting over 12,000 Grade 10 students. This initiative, comprising the Elimu and CAMFED scholarship programmes, aims to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder bright students from completing their secondary education.

• 12,337 Grade 10 learners will benefit from the scholarships, which are valued at Sh20 billion.
• The scholarships were officially launched by Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok.
• The Elimu Scholarship programme, since its launch in 2020, has already assisted 62,000 learners from vulnerable and marginalized communities.
