• Nairobi and surrounding highland areas will experience minimum temperatures as low as 5°C, along with scattered afternoon showers, especially after January 24.
• The Kenya Meteorological Department, in its weekly forecast, reported an unusual cold spell for January in Nairobi and similar weather conditions for neighboring Kiambu County.
• While central highlands anticipate rain and cold, northern and north-eastern counties like Turkana and Garissa will face hot, dry conditions with temperatures up to 38°C, and coastal areas will be sunny and warm near 34°C.
