The National Land Commission has allocated approximately 47 acres in Mandera County to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for expansion and ancillary services.

• The land, designated as Mandera Municipality Block 9/191, was gazetted on January 23.
• KMTC must submit a development management plan within 180 days or risk revocation of control.
• The college is required to ensure 10 percent of the land is covered by trees and vegetation, and adhere to Global Industry Practices (GIPs) for environmental and public health standards.
