The Netherlands Embassy in Kenya has announced fully funded Master's (MSc) scholarships in geo-information and earth observation for Kenyans under the Resilient Approach in Natural Rangeland Ecosystems (RANGE) programme. These scholarships target young professionals from Isiolo, Marsabit, and Samburu counties, aiming to foster local talent for sustainable development in ASAL regions.
- The five-year scholarship programme runs from 2024 to 2028, covering full-time MSc studies at the Faculty of ITC, University of Twente.
- The initiative is implemented by Mercy Corps, FCDC, and the Faculty ITC of the University of Twente, with multiple local partners.
- To be eligible, applicants must be Kenyan citizens from the specified counties, hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Second Class Upper or higher, awarded 2018 or later), and demonstrate a connection to pastoralism or relevant work experience.
- The final application deadline for the 2026 September intake is March 1, 2026, via the official RANGE programme portal.
