• A heat wave in Kenya is defined as three or more consecutive days of extremely high daytime temperatures exceeding locally determined thresholds.
• The heat wave threshold for Nairobi is a daily maximum temperature of 32°C or higher for three consecutive days.
• Current daytime temperatures in Nairobi are ranging from 28–29°C, which is typical for the season and well below the heat wave threshold.
• The KMD has not issued any heat wave alerts across Kenya.
