The High Court has cleared the way for police to investigate several Isiolo Members of County Assembly (MCAs) over alleged forgery of documents related to the attempted removal of Speaker Mohamed Roba Koto in June 2025. The court ruled that parliamentary privilege does not shield suspected criminal acts like forgery.

• Nine MCAs sought to block investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
• The investigations focus on the authenticity of documents, including order papers and Hansard reports, used in the process to replace Speaker Roba Koto with Abdullahi Jaldesa Banticha.
