Konza Technopolis recently hosted a two-day MSME–Innovator Connect Forum to leverage technology and collaboration, aiming to boost growth for Kenya’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in manufacturing, agribusiness, and ICT sectors.
- The forum connected 50 MSMEs with 50 local tech innovators to co-create solutions addressing operational challenges.
- According to Konza Technopolis CEO John Paul Okwiri, the initiative closes the gap between innovation and real-world business needs, supporting solutions for MSMEs that contribute over 33% of Kenya’s GDP.
- The event launched the Konza MSME Incubation Programme, a three-month initiative to support promising solutions and position them for regional and continental markets through partnerships with UNDP Timbuktoo Green Tech Hub and the Mastercard Foundation.
