A London-based law firm, Amsterdam & Partners LLP, has filed a formal dossier with the Commonwealth Secretariat on behalf of Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine, urging Uganda’s indefinite suspension from the Commonwealth.

• The firm, legal counsel for Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine), requested a referral to the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) due to alleged breaches of democratic governance and threats against Wine.
• The complaint stems from Uganda's January 15, 2026, general elections, where incumbent President Yoweri Museveni secured a seventh term with 71.65 percent of the vote, amidst accusations of fraud and a brutal government crackdown.
• The dossier highlights alarming threats made by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, President Museveni's son and Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces, including public admissions of killing 22 NUP supporters and a threat against Bobi Wine.
