Two police officers, Sgt Godwin Mjomba and Constable Patrick Mutunga, accused of the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Shukri Adan in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums, have been ordered to undergo a mental assessment before formally taking a plea in their murder case. The directive was issued by Justice Martin Muya at the Milimani High Court, with the officers scheduled to return on February 17, 2026, to plead.
