President William Ruto has ordered the National Government to fully fund and take over the construction of the 10,000-seater Kilifi Stadium, shifting from previous arrangements with the County Government of Kilifi. This directive, announced by Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya on Thursday, February 5, is part of a broader effort to develop sports facilities across Kenya as the nation prepares to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
