The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is launching a new staff management system in April to enhance tax compliance and awareness. This system, which is 60 per cent complete, aims to improve the interaction between KRA field officers and taxpayers.

• The new system will enable KRA to monitor and manage staff engagement with taxpayers, assignments, and the nature of their interactions.
• Commissioner for Micro and Small Taxpayers, George Obell, stated that field officers will be equipped with digital devices for taxpayer registration and immediate feedback.
• Another new system will introduce a phased and personalized tax filing approach for Kenyans, using SMS and email notifications instead of generic instructions.
